    Just a short drive (14km, 20 minutes) will take you to the larger town of Seydikemer. In Seydikemer central you will find everything that you can need from supermarkets (serving alcohol and cigarettes), butchers, grocers, barbers, electrical appliance stores and hardware shops to name a few. There are vets, pharmacies, multiple banks, dentists, medical clinic and they have benefited from a new hospital in 2023.

    The local area is surrounded by lush green countryside, poppy fields and farming land with a stunning mountain backdrops which are even snow-capped during the winter months, giving true picture postcard landscapes.

    Seydikemer town has a town square and picturesque riverside setting and there is a popular weekly market every Friday where local produce, clothes and homewares can be bought. Some choose to fish on the fresh water rivers, with trout being the best catch and the area as a whole has some beautiful walks and cycle routes if you like the outdoors and exploring.

    Seydikemer and its surrounding villages offer the peaceful living of unspoilt Turkey, with the added benefit of being within easy reach of larger towns and tourist attractions nearby, to which there are regular dolmus bus links which are a cheap and reliable way of getting around.

    Nearby places to explore are Saklikent Gorge (approx 8km), Patara Beach & antique city (45km, 40 mins drive), Olu Deniz Beach and Blue Lagoon (45km, 1 hour drive) and of course Fethiye (36km, 40 mins drive) and Calis Beach (40km).
